How do I buy and pick up a gift card?
You can buy a Jumbo-Flamingo gift card at the Customer Service desk located in Jumbo’s central square (level 1) or in the online store. Purchasing a card is possible using all most common bank/credit cards, with the exception of DinersClub and American Express.
When you buy a gift card from the online store, you will receive a pick-up code by email or text message, which you can use to redeem the gift card at Jumbo-Flamingo’s Customer Service desk. The gift card can also be ordered directly to the recipient’s email or phone number.
Regardless of the purchase method, the gift card is always picked up at Jumbo-Flamingo’s Customer Service desk.
How long is the gift card valid for?
A Jumbo-Flamingo gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of redemption.
What if the balance of the gift card runs out?
The gift card can only be used to cover purchases up to the balance available on the card. Any difference in the final amount must be paid with another payment method (cash, another payment card, another gift card).
Where can I use the gift card?
A Jumbo-Flamingo gift card can be used as a means of payment in all Jumbo-Flamingo stores, excluding Pelaamo, banks and currency exchange offices.
Is the gift card immediately available for use?
The card is ready for use immediately after purchase. There may be a slight delay in the case of new stores, but the gift card will work in them at least within 1-2 days after topping up the card.
Checking the balance and validity of the gift card
The cashiers of Jumbo-Flamingo’s stores cannot see the balance of the gift card, so you should check it yourself before going shopping. You can check the balance and validity period of the gift card here.
Use the 16-digit card number and the 6-digit security code on the back of the card to check the balance and validity period of the gift card. You can also check the balance and validity period with the QR code on the back of the card or at Jumbo-Flamingo’s Customer Service desk.
Can a gift card be exchanged for cash?
No. Balance on the gift card is also not returned if there is value left on the gift card after the validity period has expired.
Can I return a product purchased with a gift card?
Yes, you can return the product normally to the same store where you bought it. The money from the returned product is credited back to the gift card (if the card is still available) or to a store-supplied gift card.
Can I buy more than one product with a gift card, from more than one Jumbo store?
Yes, you can use the gift card as many times as you want and in as many Jumbo-Flamingo stores as you want, if there are funds available on the gift card.
Can a gift card be used to pay in Flamingo stores or services?
Yes. The gift card can be used in Flamingo as well.
